The Officers would like to congratulate all the sections of the club on a fantastic 2023. 

Bloxwich Stafford Road Bowls Club has had a great year, and its membership has continued to grow. Its a great club for both competitive and social crown green bowling. The annual bowls match against Bloxwich Cricket Club was another great occasion. 

Bloxwich Cricket Club celebrated their 175th anniversary in 2023 and celebrated with an old boys team v the current players - a great time was had by all, and some fantastic memories were shared. It's been great to see all the work with youngsters during the year, All Stars and Dynamo sessions on a Sunday morning, an U17 team, and a great age-range in the Sunday XI, with the younger players being given the opportunity to hone their skills. Great also to see the generations playing together - some very proud dad's have played senior cricket with their sons for the first time this season. 

Bloxwich Hockey Club has had a brilliant year including being named as England Hockey's 'Emerging Club of the Year 2023'. There has been some fantastic work with the junior section, with the number of youngsters engaging in training and matches increasing during the year. The coaching that has been taking place in local schools has been greatly appreciated. Boxing Day saw 40 players taking part in the annual mixed interclub match. It was great to see mums and dads playing with their youngsters and not so young offspring, brothers and sisters, husbands and wives, fiances and aunts and nieces. The support for the three teams from the sidelines was great, and lovely to see ex-players and grandparents supporting. It was a real family occasion, followed by food and socialising in the club. 

Bloxwich Rugby Club are having a great season on and off the pitch. Their annual charity cricket match was a great success in the summer, raising over £3,000 for local charities. They have organised fun-filled Halloween and Christmas parties, enjoyed by all ages. And this Boxing Day saw their inaugural over 35s v under 35s club match. 

We would like to thank all the volunteers who work so hard for the Bowls, Cricket, Hockey and Rugby sections of the club and for the club itself, and to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy and successful 2024.
